Have you heard about Foxie's?
We would just like to use this space to say a massive congratulations to Foxie's Future on securing Foxlease for use by further generations!Foxlease was previously a Girlguiding-owned activity centre in New Forest, Hampshire. It provided opportunities for Guides, Scouts, and other groups to take part in a range of outdoor activities and gain skills for life. Foxlease further held a huge amount of Girlguiding history, alongside hosting all 4 major guiding events (Fearless Fun, Sparkle and Ice, Magic and Mayhem, Wellies and Wristbands). In May 2023, Girlguiding’s Board of Trustees made the unexpected decision to sell Foxlease, alongside 4 other guiding-owned centres (Waddow Hall, Blackland Farm, Glenbrook, and Ynysgain). This broke the hearts of Girlguiding members and volunteers across the UK. The decision impacted the opportunities many members will receive, as well as destroy a huge part of what Girlguiding stands for and cause so much of the organisation's history to be lost.As a server, we have worked with Foxlease where we can to support their goals. We plan to continue supporting them in the future. Congratulations Foxlease!
